Getting started
What do I need to use Teqll?
You need a Teqll account and a compatible wallet connected to BNB Chain. Buyers also need enough supported funds for the deal amount and network fee. Keep your wallet extension or app up to date before signing.
How do I start a deal?
Choose Start a secure deal, add the other person’s Teqll details, describe the deliverable, set the amount and review window, then share the deal. The buyer funds it from their own wallet when the terms are ready.
Can I use Teqll as a freelancer?
Yes. A freelancer can receive a deal, review the terms, submit work through the deal workspace, and receive funds after the buyer approves or the agreed release path completes.
Escrow lifecycle
What happens after a buyer funds a deal?
The funds move into the escrow smart contract on BNB Chain. They are not held by Teqll or sent directly to the freelancer. Both sides can see the deal status and transaction record.
When are funds released?
After reviewing the work, the buyer can release the agreed amount to the freelancer. The buyer can also authorise a partial release for an agreed milestone. The terms, amount, seller wallet, and fee split are shown before funding.
Can deal terms change after funding?
Do not rely on messages or off-platform promises for a changed scope. Create a new deal or sign in to review the deal's next step before additional work or money changes hands.
Fees
What does Teqll charge?
Teqll uses a fixed 2% platform fee, split between the buyer and freelancer as agreed for that deal. The buyer funds their share on top of the base deal amount, while the freelancer’s share is withheld from the amount released to them. The same split applies proportionally to partial releases or a split settlement. BNB Chain network fees are separate.
Do I pay a fee if a deal is refunded?
If the buyer receives a refund, the applicable buyer-paid platform-fee portion is returned with the remaining deal amount. When only part of a deal is released or split, the outcome is calculated proportionally. Blockchain network fees already paid for transactions are separate and may not be recoverable.
Disputes and refunds
What if the work is not delivered as agreed?
Keep all relevant evidence inside the deal workspace, including the original scope, submissions, and messages. Either party can open a dispute while a funded deal remains locked, so the recorded context stays with the deal for review.
How do refunds work?
A refund follows the deal’s escrow and dispute rules. A mutually cancelled funded deal returns the buyer’s original deposit: the base deal amount plus the buyer-paid share of the platform fee. If a dispute needs review, an admin can release, refund, or split the locked amount between the buyer and seller. Never send a second payment to ‘unlock’ a refund.
What should I do if the other person asks to move off-platform?
Pause. Do not release funds or share wallet credentials. Keep communication and deliverables tied to the deal so there is a verifiable record if help is needed.
Wallet safety
Will Teqll ever ask for my seed phrase?
Never. Teqll does not need your seed phrase, private key, wallet password, or a remote-screen session. Reject any request for these details, even if it appears to come from support.
What should I check before signing?
Check the connected network, recipient, amount, contract interaction, and transaction details in your wallet. Only sign a transaction you understand. If anything looks different from the deal summary, reject it and sign in to review the deal details.
Can Teqll recover a transaction I sent to the wrong address?
No. Blockchain transactions are generally irreversible. Confirm the network and address carefully before signing, and use a small test transaction when you are connecting a wallet for the first time.
